If you're on a PPC computer then you'll want to install UHDLumen (legacy-fallback) and right click on the file and click "Get Info". Once you get to the window. Click "Open in 32-bit mode". This script can be associated to a keyboard shortcut to make ANY terminal emulator behave like Guake, but better. It brings the terminal to front on the first call, and pushes it back on the second call, so you can still see the terminal while working in the other window. I prefer this instead of minimizing, and definitely prefer this over the "always on top" terminals.
