The TLELib is the C++ library, which allows to read and write the TLE files very easy. It provides 2 main objects: tlelib::Node - object, operating with NORAD two lines elements data. It allows to parse the data from 2 or 3 lines and to output the data into strings in according to the TLE format. tlelib::Stream - stream, allowing to read the TLE data from some object of iostream type, and to write the data in TLE format into such object. -

This is clone of the Celestron PECTool used to upload, download and manipulate PEC data. It is intended to work with Celestron Nexstar mounts like NexStar GPS, NexStar GPS-SA, NexStar iSeries, NexStar SE Series, NexStar GT, Advanced-VX, Advanced-GT and CGE mounts. Communication to the hand control is 9600 bits/sec, no parity and one stop bit via the RS-232 port on the base of the hand control. The GALPROP program (http://galprop.stanford.edu) computes cosmic-ray propagation in the Galaxy, in 2D or 3D. The ouput cosmic-ray distribution is in the form of FITS files which however are not convenient for viewing or plotting with the standard ftools program fv, since the files have 4 or 5 dimensional arrays (due to the momentum and species axes) while fv handles only 3 dimensional arrays. This program converts to fv-compatible FITS files, either from 2D to (R,z) or from 3D to (x,z) at y=0 or (x,y) at z=0, in each case for a chosen cosmic-ray species. ... -

A routine for converting GALPROP-generated HealPix skymaps to a compatible format which can be plotted by Aladin (v7), available from CDS at http://aladin.u-strasbg.fr. ...To obtain manifestly accurate solutions an explicit method is now available to replace the Crank-Nicolson operator-splitting method. This can be implemented in the public version of GALPROP with the update provided here. Instructions: replace the four files propel.cc, propel_diagnostics, Galdef.cc and Galdef.h and rebuild the executable. Add solution_method and solution_convergence to the galdef parameter file. A test GALDEF file with these parameters is galdef_54_reltest09; the diagnostics document the accuracy of the solution. ...It can show animated evolutionary tracks of stars of different masses, for a single star or a population of stars. In addition, it can show the CMD of a large number of existing open clusters, based on scientific survey data, and overlay isochrones (the curve in a CMD from stars born at the same time) to determine the age, distance and interstellar reddening of the cluster. Determining these parameters can be done automatically with a global search algorithm (more specifically a genetic algorithm).
