The Rotation Control Patch adds X resource, config file, and command line options to Xpdf that enable selectively setting the initial rotation of a pdf when it is opened. The X resource option is xpdf.initialRotate, the config file option is initialRotate, and the command line option is -rotate. The possible rotation values are 0, 90, 180, and 270. This patch was developed for and tested in Xpdf 3.03. Note : If the patch command complains "Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected!", just hit Enter or Return a couple of times to skip that part of the patch, and all should be well. The cause is a previous patch having already changed the application name appearing in the titlebar.

...After using many other fine manager applications I found some things I wanted in an image manager that didn't exist in just one manager so I tried to create one that had all the features that I liked in one manager. One notable feature is the meta data or tags are stored in the image file itself so that when you move your image library the metadata and all the tagging work you did goes with the images. It is not perfect but it has been in use for years on my machine and I thought it time to share and see what other developers could bring to it.
