    Enhanced SAR Compression

VOP Algorithm with improved speed and compression

This work is described in: Orzada S, Fielder TM, Quick HH, Ladd ME, "A local SAR compression algorithm with improved compression, speed and flexibility", https://doi.org/10.1002/mrm.28739. This new algorithm is an iterative expansion of the exisisting local SAR compression algorithm for MRI proposed by Lee et al. ( https://doi.org/10.1002/mrm.23140) The number of VOPs is approximately halved with the new algorithm, while at the same time the compression time is reduced with speed-up factors of up to 2.5.

    CorThiZon

    CorThiZon

Cortical Thickness of brain by Zones

CorThiZon is a Matlab toolbox. MRI 3D T1 images are treated to estimate cortical thickness by zones in native and normalized space. It uses a Laplace-based technique following brain segmentation. Results can be easily reported in Excel files for further statistical analysis. If you use this toolbox, please reference: ‘Early diagnostic of Alzheimer’s disease using cortical thickness: impact of cognitive reserve', Querbes O, Aubry F, Pariente J, Lotterie JA, Démonet JF, Duret V, Puel M, Berry I, Fort JC, Celsis P, Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative, Brain, 2009 Aug, 132(Pt 8):2036-47 A footnote giving the link to: http://sourceforge.net/projects/corthizon/ will be appreciated.

    Realistic Human Head Voxel Model
In this Project, a human head voxel model is developed for use in CST Studio commercial software pack using an improved voxel set extracted from MRI images of a human head. The proposed voxel model contains 256x256x128 voxel elements with dimensions of 1.1x1.1x1.4 mm. Moreover, the dispersive dielectric properties of head tissues, as well as their density and thermal conductivity, are embedded. This head voxel model was presented at the ICEE2017 conference. KneeTex is an open–source, stand–alone application for information extraction from narrative reports that describe an MRI scan of the knee. Given an MRI report as input, the system outputs the corresponding clinical findings in the form of JavaScript Object Notation objects. The extracted information is mapped onto TRAK, an ontology that formally models knowledge relevant for the rehabilitation of knee conditions. As a result, formally structured and coded information allows for complex searches to be conducted efficiently over the original MRI reports, thereby effectively supporting epidemiologic studies of knee conditions.

    libznz with zindex

This is a fast version of libznz used in NIfTI C library

This library provides notable speed-up for seeking in large compressed NIfTI files. It is compatible with the libznz interface which is part of NIfTI C library to handle multidimensional (mostly MRI) images. Only the replacement of the currently available libznz library is necessary. To reach the expected speed-up the compressed NIfTI data has to be indexed with the included tool. To compile the binaries, the sources available in this project have to be replaced with the ones in znzlib folder of project https://sourceforge.net/projects/niftilib/files/nifticlib/nifticlib_2_0_0/ and the nifticlib has to be compiled.

    DRAMMS

A Deformable Medical Image Registration Toolbox

...Some typical applications of DRAMMS include, -- Cross-subject registration of the same organ (can be brain, breast, cardiac, etc); -- Mono- and Multi-modality registration (MRI, CT, histology); -- Longitudinal registration (pediatric brain growth, cancer development, mouse brain development, etc); -- Registration under missing correspondences (e.g., vascular lesions, tumors, histological cuts). DRAMMS runs in command line in UNIX/Mac OS, It accepts Nifti/ANALYZE/MetaImage image formats. It is fully-automatic --- takes two input images, and generates a registered image and (optionally) the deformation field. ...
