...I'm looking for people who would like to help with this project. I have started coding some of this already and is about 3% - 5% complete. You can download the source code I uploaded it all as a zip file in the download section. It has the game files needed to run the game. GalGen Trader
A 2D Elite-style game written in Python 3.2.
...One of its most important features is the ability for extension modules to be added that can change just about any feature of the program; from new weapons and devices, to adventure modules that add new 'mini-plots' (similar to the Galactic Adventures DLC for Spore), to modules that replace parts of the core game. This functionality is supported by the game being written in Python 3, with its powerful support for including external code at run-time. The graphics will be a simple mixture of 2D raster and vector imagery with text-based menus, and the music will be highly reminiscent of the 80's 'chiptunes' that made up the soundtracks for games on the Amiga and Commodore 64. -

A truck/car simulator,with realistic physics and oldstyle graphics: it displays pixels through the SDL graphics routines, or the X11 if using that version (has some issues:so use the SDL ver).While the 3D graphics is done by the program itself without external libraries.The environment is a hilly terrain:total freedom to drive around.A remake of the classic "Terep 2". Written in the C programming language: although the code is 30 pages long, it's simple. Trailer can be detouched pressming 'l' (minuscle ELL) so to drive a normal car. There's an OpenGL version too: see the CTruck3D _Open,and an ASCII-Art ver (Term_ CTruck3D). ...It has ascii-art and nice graphics version, and a special funny version It's a very basic thing: there are free rigid bodies and springs with strong attenuation/damping. It's very simple and very short code, and collisions of bodies with ground are good and stable. A good simulation of this kind, however requires Lagrangian method. I proposed the Lagrange_motocross as an alternative of this kind. The code is not much longer but the it's overall more complicated, and collisions are a bad issue.

A shareware game called begin was released in 1984: a tactical starship game with a good AI and fair rules (the computer had no advantage) I've hacked assembly code to make it a multiplayer game, so that folk can challenge each other rather than the AI.
