    Chroma

    Chroma

A general purpose syntax highlighter in pure Go

As Chroma has just been released, its API is still in flux. That said, the high-level interface should not change significantly. Chroma takes source code and other structured text and converts it into syntax-highlighted HTML, ANSI-coloured text, etc. Chroma is based heavily on Pygments and includes translators for Pygments lexers and styles. ABAP, ABNF, ActionScript, ActionScript 3, Ada, Angular2, ANTLR, ApacheConf, APL, AppleScript, Arduino, Awk. PacmanConf, Perl, PHP, PHTML, Pig, PkgConfig, PL/pgSQL, plaintext, Pony, PostgreSQL SQL dialect, PostScript, POVRay, PowerShell, Prolog, PromQL, Properties, Protocol Buffer, PSL, Puppet, Python 2, Python. Lexers convert source text into a stream of tokens, styles specify how token types are mapped to colours, and formatters convert tokens and styles into formatted output. A package exists for each of these, containing a global Registry variable with all of the registered implementations.

    sq data wrangler

sq is a command line tool that provides jq-style access to structured data sources: SQL databases, or document formats like CSV or Excel. sq executes jq-like queries, or database-native SQL. It can join across sources: join a CSV file to a Postgres table, or MySQL with Excel. sq outputs to a multitude of formats including JSON, Excel, CSV, HTML, Markdown and XML, and can insert query results directly to a SQL database. sq can also inspect sources to view metadata about the source structure (tables, columns, size). You can use sq diff to compare tables, or entire databases. sq has commands for common database operations to copy, truncate, and drop tables.

    Mage

    Mage

A Make/rake-like dev tool using Go

Mage is a make/rake-like build tool using Go. You write plain-old go functions, and Mage automatically uses them as Makefile-like runnable targets. Mage has no dependencies outside the Go standard library, and builds with Go 1.7 and above (possibly even lower versions, but they’re not regularly tested). The asdf version manager is a tool for installing release binaries from Github. With asdf installed, the asdf plugin for mage can be used to install any released version of mage. If you create your Magefile or files within a directory named magefiles And there is no Magefile in your current directory, mage will default to the directory as the source for your targets while keeping the current directory as the working one. There are no plugins. You don’t need plugins. It’s just Go code. You can import whatever libraries you want. Every library in the go ecosystem is a mage plugin. Every tool you use with Go can be used with Magefiles.

    Air Go

    Air Go

    Live reload for Go apps

When I get started with developing websites in Go and gin framework, it's a pity that gin lacks live-reloading function. In fact, I tried fresh and it seems not much flexible, so I intended to rewrite it in a better way. Air is yet another live-reloading command line utility for Go applications in development. Just air in your project root directory, leave it alone, and focus on your code. For less typing, you could add alias air='~/.air' to your .bashrc or .zshrc. You can pass arguments for running the built binary by adding them after the air command.

    Concourse

    Concourse

Concourse is a container-based continuous thing-doer written in Go

Built on the simple mechanics of resources, tasks, and jobs, Concourse presents a general approach to automation that makes it great for CI/CD. Concourse is designed to be expressive, versatile, and safe, remaining intuitive as the complexity of your project grows. A Concourse pipeline is like a distributed, continuous Makefile. Each job has a build plan declaring the job's input resources and what to run with them when they change. Your pipeline is then visualized in the web UI, taking only one click to get from a failed job to seeing why it failed. The visualization provides a "gut check" feedback loop: if it looks wrong, it probably is wrong. Jobs can depend on other jobs by configuring passed constraints. The resulting chain of jobs and resources is a dependency graph that continuously pushes your project forward, from source code to production.

    Fortio

    Fortio

Fortio load testing library, command line tool, advanced echo server

Fortio (Φορτίο) started as, and is, Istio’s load testing tool and later (2018) graduated to be its own open-source project. Fortio runs at a specified query per second (qps) and records an histogram of execution time and calculates percentiles (e.g. p99 ie the response time such as 99% of the requests take less than that number (in seconds, SI unit)). It can run for a set duration, for a fixed number of calls, or until interrupted (at a constant target QPS, or max speed/load per connection/thread). Fortio is a fast, small (4Mb docker image, minimal dependencies), reusable, embeddable go library as well as a command line tool and server process, the server includes a simple web UI and REST API to trigger run and see graphical representation of the results (both a single latency graph and a multiple results comparative min, max, avg, qps and percentiles graphs).

Work with issues, merge requests, watch running pipelines directly from your CLI among other features. Inspired by gh, the official GitHub CLI tool. glab is available for repositories hosted on GitLab.com and self-hosted GitLab Instances. glab supports multiple authenticated GitLab instances and automatically detects the authenticated hostname from the remotes available in the working git directory. Please take care when running scripts in this fashion. Consider peeking at the install script itself and verify that it works as intended. glab is available on the KISS Linux Community Repo as gitlab-glab. If you already have the community repo configured in your KISS_PATH you can install glab through your terminal.

    Interactsh

    Interactsh

An OOB interaction gathering server and client library

Interactsh is an open-source tool for detecting out-of-band interactions. It is a tool designed to detect vulnerabilities that cause external interactions. Interactsh Cli client requires go1.17+ to install successfully. interactsh-client with -sf, -session-file flag can be used store/read the current session information from user defined file which is useful to resume the same session to poll the interactions even after the client gets stopped or closed. Running the interactsh-client in verbose mode (v) to see the whole request and response, along with an output file to analyze afterwards. Using the server flag, interactsh-client can be configured to connect with a self-hosted Interactsh server, this flag accepts single or multiple server separated by comma. Default servers are subject to change/rotate/down at any time, thus we recommend using a self-hosted interactsh server if you are experiencing issues with the default server.

    Pluto

    Pluto

A cli tool to help discover deprecated apiVersions in Kubernetes

Kubernetes sometimes deprecates API versions. Most notably, a large number of deprecations happened in the 1.16 release. This is fine, and it's a fairly easy thing to deal with. However, it can be difficult to find all the places where you might have used a version that will be deprecated in your next upgrade. You might think, "I'll just ask the api-server to tell me!", but this is fraught with danger. If you ask the API-server to give you deployments.v1.apps, and the deployment was deployed as deployments.v1beta1.extensions, the API-server will quite happily convert the API version and return a manifest with apps/v1. This is fairly well outlined in the discussion of this issue.
