Tested with various Foobar versions up to the current 2.24.2. A Matrix Dac X-Sabre Pro is used. The effect with the scratching and crackling only occurs with Asio2, not with other Asio. Another effect with volume changes and Asio2 is a fading effect when the volume is increased. Although no fading is activated. This means that the volume continues to increase even though the slider is no longer being moved. This also only occurs with Asio2. Any idea ? I'm a bit worried that it will affect the speakers.

Sorry, I went over the Asio2 Wasapi SourceForge page and unfortunately in the wrong forum.

How can my post be moved ?

I didn't see anything, it's a bit complicated in the editor for posting, I can't paste anything so the large subject comes up.
I'm not so good at this sort of thing...
Many thanks,
I have installed the ASIO WmpPlg-6.0 + ASIO2WASAPI-1.0.
I am using the latest version of Win Media Player, with Windows 10 / 64.
I keep getting the same error when I try to use ASIO WmpPlg-6.0 + ASIO2WASAPI-1.0.
Error: Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file.
I have studied the instructions thoroughly as well as other posts in this forum but have not found the answer.
The playback device is different. I have tried them all, all different combos with both ASIO2WASAPI & ASIO4ALL.
Is the software out of date?
Cheers,
