There are two workarounds:
1. set NPR=1 and use the values in the solution file; for every line in the bifurcation diagram there is now a label with a corresponding solution.
2. or: use the PVLS subroutine (see demo pvl for examples) to put the values of U into unused parameter values (e.g PAR(21) to PAR(29)) and list those explicitly in the ICP list. All parameters that are listed in ICP are put in the bifurcation diagram file.

There has never been a proper "make install". You compiled successfully and can now use AUTO by doing "source cmds/auto.env.sh" (you may need to edit that file to adjust AUTO_DIR if AUTO is not in $HOME/auto/07p).

It's a combination of not overriding N.nonzero (because that is now used by matplotlib itself) but also explicitly using N.flatnonzero in the AUTO python code, as done here:
https://github.com/auto-07p/auto-07p/commit/df84ddbc79ae86f13d5840f3c6cdfdfe56b7936a
it's now fixed in that github repository.

I'm attempting to install auto-07p but I think I broke the make file somehow. I'm trying to proceed without compiling PLAUT04. The ./configure command gives me this output which seems to suggest I can continue:

It was requested that the plotting utility PLAUT04 
be compiled but the proper libraries (Coin3D and   
SoQt or SoXt or Open Inventor and Open Inventor Xt)
and perhaps Motif libraries (libXm) could not be   
found. The compilation of PLAUT04 is disabled.

I worked around the "too few elements for dummy angle" error in plautlib.f:6777:48 by resizing the angle variable to length 4 in this fortran file so that it matched the size in other calls that used the angle variable, and that seemed to deal with the error.

When I input the make command, I get this:

which is suspicious but doesn't give me any error. Then when I try to make install I get this:

So I definitely don't know what's going on because this is part of the instructions to install auto, so I think something broke and there should have been something else generated. I don't think that it has to do with my work-around for the angle error, because that's presumably something I would see when I try to plot as it references a drawing element. I'd appreciate help on this if anyone else has experienced this problem.

I'm using a macbook on OS 10.14.3 (Mojave) and my gfortran version is 8.2.0.
