I've checked a few simple PBN files using the pbnverifier app and consistently found the following errors:<br/> 1) a space at the end of the deal line, before the closing quote<br/> 2) the dealer should be specified as E not East</p> <p>There may be other syntax issues, but this is as far as I have explored.</p></div>

<div class="markdown_content"><p>Yes, sorry. Java is always developing, but not always downwards compatible. This program is used by only very few users. So, I did not go through the hassles of testing compatibility with Java 8. I suggest installing the most recent Java version. It is indeed possible to have two Java versions on one computer, and use the proper one via a batch or command file.</p></div>
