Here is a patch I sent a long time ago to add i18n-support
into celestia v1.2.4.

It did not appear in v1.2.5, and is also missing in 1.3.x, so I
decided to make it available here instead.

Makes rendering orbit look better. This increases the
sampling rate to 3000 and starts the orbit one-half
period behind.
