It work with both old and new application type desktop files, and can be run as root to feed the system menu or as user to feed the user's menu.</p> <p>This tool can also be run to search all the application type desktop files in the system, or with a name as parameter to search for &lt;name&gt;.desktop.</p> <p>In all cases, it will generate the corresponding entries only if they don't already exist.
