Thank you for the patience too. Using a program in alfa version may be not so comfortable.
I can't hear any difference betwin the output file you sent to me yesturday and the output file I sent to you. Could you please check them both again?
Thanks for the patience.
I noticed that in your declicked sound I can not hear any clicking anymore, and in my version, there's still a click...
Why is there a difference?
How can I eliminate the click like in the sample you sent me?
B

#1 Error in Declicker 64b Windows 10

Hi B.
PRED, OUTPUT and SCAN folders need to be placed on higher levels. It's OK.
I see three corrected sequences starting from sample 6155 in the output file.
See attached picture.
Also I can hear the difference.
Everything except the middle of the input file looks OK to me. From what position do you expected to see correction?

#1 Error in Declicker 64b Windows 10

Hi D.
I see it now, but for some reason it placed the PRED and OUTPUT folders on the top level of the harddisk instead of within the folder of the file...
Anyhow, it still didn't correct the file. See attached.
Am I doing something wrong?
It runs but it doesn't affect the file. I can still hear the click.
I'm not sure why the problem apears on your system yet.
If you have 1 Gb memory GT 730 (CUDA capability 2.1) and i7 in your computer I think it's better to try running the app without GPU support. Here is a temporary link
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4dJBgvF-_h6NUgyR2V3d1RSb1k/view?usp=sharing
for a version that can turn off GPU module if you start it with a parameter -n like this:
declicker.exe tick.wav -n
Also this version is adjusted to remove longer defects (up to 40 samples in length) like your example consists. Here is a link to tick.wav repaired
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4dJBgvF-_h6Zk5sOHlabEFVS00/view?usp=sharing
I hope it will work for you.
Best wishes,
Thanks for the prompt responce.
I use a strong Dell i7 Windows 10 machine with an Nvidia GeForce GT 730.
Did your test on the tick file I provided, actually removed the tick?
Does it know how to 'smooth' those type of breaks/jumps in the audio?
Bests,
Thanks a lot for your feedback.
I tried the file (tick.wav). Unfortunately i don't get any errors on my system.
From the output of the app you listed I can suppose that it's a GPU card problem. Could you tell me what graphics card is in your computer?
Also I'd like to know what CPU is in it. Some of modern CPU can be faster than some low performance GPU cards on the algorithm the app uses. Maybe the program will run faster if it turn the GPU module off for your case (you can't try it right now because it's not implemented yet).
About targeting of the algorithm to clicks only. I would say it wouldn't accelerate the app because the most of time the app does preparation. It computes Burg prediction errors for audio file. Nevertheless I'll think about speeding up the process. Maybe varying of Burg prediction parameters will help.
Regards,

I love the idea and grateful for a 64bit windows version :-)

I tried running the declicker on windows 10 64 bit and got this:
D:\audio test>declicker tick.wav
14051 / 1
Preparation complited on 00% Error too many resources requested for launch at line 392 in file C:/Users/Dmitrii/Documents/Visual Studio 2013/Projects/2/1/GPU_static_lib.cu

Attached is the tick testing file.

Also, on installation, I had to find and place 2 additional files:
msvcp120.dll
msvcr120.dll
I took them from another .net application on my disk...

PS. I read what you've written about the performance. I have a strong server, and hope to get better performance if possible. let me know if it's possible to run it faster if i have only clickers and no need for the other fixes...

Thanks,
