<div class="markdown_content"><p>Executed the following steps on my 2.4.20 kernel (RH9)</p> <p>patch -p1 &amp;lt;ebtables-v2.0.003_vs_2.4.20.diff<br /> patch -p1 &amp;lt;bridge-nf-0.0.10-against-2.4.20.diff<br /> make menuconfig<br /> # Y ==&amp;gt; Network packet filtering<br /> # Y ==&amp;gt; 802.1d Ethernet Bridging<br /> # Y ==&amp;gt; Bridge/ebtables (and Y to all suboptions)<br /> # IP/Netfilter Configuration Y to all suboptions<br /> make dep<br /> make bzImage<br /> make modules<br /> make modules_install<br /> make install<br /> # Grub now set to boot to bridge kernel</p> <p># Booted successfully to bridge kernel<br /> # Created a bridge using the standard brctl stuff<br /> # and ifconfig, worked fine</p> <p>When I tried to use ebtables (ebtables -L) for instance, <br /> I get a module not found error.
