&lt;p&gt;patch -p1 &amp;amp;lt;ebtables-v2.0.003_vs_2.4.20.diff&lt;br /&gt;
patch -p1 &amp;amp;lt;bridge-nf-0.0.10-against-2.4.20.diff&lt;br /&gt;
make menuconfig&lt;br /&gt;
# Y ==&amp;amp;gt; Network packet filtering&lt;br /&gt;
# Y ==&amp;amp;gt; 802.1d Ethernet Bridging&lt;br /&gt;
# Y ==&amp;amp;gt; Bridge/ebtables (and Y to all suboptions)&lt;br /&gt;
# IP/Netfilter Configuration Y to all suboptions&lt;br /&gt;
make dep&lt;br /&gt;
make bzImage&lt;br /&gt;
make modules&lt;br /&gt;
make modules_install&lt;br /&gt;
make install&lt;br /&gt;
# Grub now set to boot to bridge kernel&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;# Booted successfully to bridge kernel&lt;br /&gt;
# Created a bridge using the standard brctl stuff&lt;br /&gt;
# and ifconfig, worked fine&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When I tried to use ebtables (ebtables -L) for instance, &lt;br /&gt;
I get a module not found error.  Did I need to build &lt;br /&gt;
Bridge/ebtables as a module not integrated???  Is this &lt;br /&gt;
described somewhere?&lt;/p&gt;
