usages with epsonepl.

http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=688048

The fix is already committed to gs, and will be integrated to
gs 8.53 (?the next release) when it is released.

That means, out of the recent gs 8.x releases, only 8.15
and 8.50 works unmodified (8.00 and 8.14 needs one
patch, 8.51 needs a different patch).

Debian Segfaults, and new ghostscript .deb's.

Special thanks to Till Kamppeter for tracking down segfault
problem of ghostscript on Debian to a KRGB patch that that
hpijs people recommends, and is shipped by Debian for a while.
(see discussion in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=294430\)

These versions and later are problematic:

gs-gpl (8.01-5) - Sun, 15 Aug 2004 13:03:15 +0900

gs-esp (7.07.1-8) Sun, 30 May 2004 20:50:00 +0900

gs-afpl has a different problem.

So I am sorry to say that none of the ghostscript packages
currently shipped by debian is usable. Florian had kindly
been providing replacement package for many months now.
http://www.boelstler.net/gs-afpl_8.14-3_i386.deb

I have just uploaded 2 whole set of debian packages
onto sourceforge, and you should get the font package
as well. (ghostscript is not particularly sensitive to the fonts, so either 8.00 and 8.14 should work with the same font sets).
They were built on debian testing,
with rpm and alien, so probably doesn't quite fit into Debian's
scheme of things. You should remove every debian distributed
gs-gpl/gs-esp/gs-afpl before installing these.

black pages, patched ghostscript

ghostscript 7.22-8.14 has a bug,
