Hello,

KDE and GNOME have embraced the AppStream proposal for distro- and desktop-agnostic software centers, requiring packages to ship an appdata.xml file, which is to be installed in /usr/share/appdata/ . The file contains a brief description of the package, links to 16:9 screenshots and website and contact info. You can read more about the specifications here:

There is also a pending proposal for the next versions of Fedora to not include in the software centers packages without appdata (though a user could install them from the terminal with dnf or yum). Regardless, the new software centers present a great opportunity for developers to showcase their applications and of course for the users, to discover said applications. If you do not have enough time, I could help you with the file and probably with the screenshots.

Please let me know of your decision, so that I may update the list of applications in Fedora.
