&lt;p&gt;Currently the following triplets should be used:&lt;br /&gt;
powerpc-apple-darwin6&lt;br /&gt;
powerpc-apple-darwin7&lt;br /&gt;
powerpc-apple-darwin8&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;i386-apple-darwin6&lt;br /&gt;
i386-apple-darwin7&lt;br /&gt;
i686-apple-darwin8&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There is no need to include the kernel subversions,&lt;br /&gt;
such as 7.3.9, in the build/host/target for GCC.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Note that builds should use the GCC/FSF directories,&lt;br /&gt;
e.g. /usr/lib/gcc/powerpc-apple-darwin7/3.3.6&lt;br /&gt;
/usr/lib/gcc/i686-apple-darwin8/4.0.1&lt;br /&gt;
and not the Apple old-style /usr/lib/gcc/darwin/3.3&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</summary></entry></feed>
