Some input methods use "u:" instead of "v" to represent the 'u' sound in 女 and this should be supported.

Help Documentation

There needs to be a help screen and tool tips to aid the user with usage of the application.

The pinyin/tone format may not be intuitive for all users so a tool tip or help screen would be useful.

Remember Previous Searches

The Swing Metal L&F should only be used as a fall back if the platform native can not be loaded, or at least be configurable so the user can choose to use their native L&F.

Customisable Output Format

The output for a word should be customisable to include only the information the user desires. For example, the user could configure the ordering of traditional and simplified characters, or only show both if there is a simplification, or disable the display of one altogether.

Full Dictionary Support

Support for full Chinese and English dictionaries to give full lexicographical definitions of the words. This feature is particularly useful for learners of a language since the definitions can list example sentences.
