Hi, thank you for your interest in j-ftp! The project is not abandoned, I just consider it stable and mature. If there will be incompatibilities or patches coming in I'll release new versions here. And maybe there will even be a feature or two to implement in the future, who knows.

Please do not drop the project, this is a very interesting program!

Will the program no longer be updated and new versions will no longer appear?

NFS explorer problem

I have created the NFS share with the below server installer.

After i tried to explore the files with jftp means it shows files in the immediate drive and can't able to navigate to subfolders.

No user name and password are provided.

SFTP in JNLP without function

I checked the web start with the .jnlp file.
The FTP connection started automaticaly but the SFTP will don't fire.
After start of the JFTP I can't see any action in the Log window.
I used the example as below:
<argument>sftp://user:pass@ftp.ftpserver.com:22/directory</argument>
Maybe the start of the sftp link isn't supported in the web start file?
Is it possible to start the jftp as java applet with start parameters of ftp or sftp server, so after the start of jftp is the server already connected?

Incorrect home directory

I changed the user home directories with Cygwin and everything works fine with other clients. However, when I use J-FTP to SFTP in my server, it puts any user in the root of the Cygwin directory. Any ideas

SFTP problems

Hello,

While trying to connect to SFTP with the following
code (v.1.47)

String dir = "/home/mmp/home/6/inbox/";
String host = "our.host.nl";
SftpConnection sf = new SftpConnection(host, 22);
sf.login("mmp006", "somepasword");

We get the below pasted output. The user name and
password are correct (WinSCP connects fine).

When encountered this problem, we set up an own sftp
server and tried connecting to it. However, when
trying to connect to a server in the outside world (we
are behind a firewall) logging in fails. Once again I
repeat we tried the same thing with WinSCP and it
worked.

Please see the output that we got below. Any help
would be appreciated.

SFTP with user name and no password

While trying to create out ftp client, we have some
problems with loging in to sftp.

We have a user name and a key file and no password.
Could someone possibly post a sample code for
achieving the above so we can see if we are going in
the right direction?

Unable to set connection mode to active

I am using the API of JFTP in one of my programs... But
I am unable to set the connection mode to active. It is
always set to passive, so I am unable to pass throught
firewalls...

anyone can help me ?
