The first ISO for each version is now available. These releases include the latest stable updates from the upstream distribution.

There is a version based on the upstream release 27, and a version based on the upstream release 26, both with all updates up to 2018-02-03. Only x86_64 images are available, other architectures are not planned.

I expect most users to prefer the Kannolo 27 release, but Kannolo 26 is also available for users specifically looking for that version.

You can find these (and eventually future) releases in the Files section.

No more Kannolo 25 releases, but Kannolo 26 and 27 coming soon

As you may have noticed, there have been no new Kannolo releases for a while, due to time constraints. Since the upstream distribution's 25 release has already reached its end of life, there will not be any newer Kannolo 25 respins. In other words, Kannolo-25-20170422 is the last Kannolo 25 release. Producing a newer respin would not be of much use because you would have to upgrade it to a newer release either way.

Instead, I have been working the last few days on Kannolo 26 and 27. I have almost everything ready, so you can expect new ISOs next week. (Kannolo 26 and 27 respins will be offered in parallel, as with 24 and 25 in the past.)

Thank you for your understanding.

No more Kannolo 24 releases

Since release 26 of the upstream distribution is already out (and thus work will focus on Kannolo 26 from now on), since the upstream distribution's 24 release is reaching its end of life on August 8, 2017, and since the latest Kannolo 24 releases were each downloaded only once, I have decided to no longer produce Kannolo 24 respins. In other words, Kannolo-24-20170422 is the last Kannolo 24 release. Please use Kannolo 25 (or soon 26) instead. Thank you for your understanding.

Kannolo 25-20170422 and 24-20170422 releases

Updated Kannolo ISO are now available for download.
Developers will also be happy that 3 new groups were added to the netinstall package selection page in the installer:

Kannolo SDK: a software development kit including the KDevelop IDE and the packages needed to compile Qt5/KF5 applications with it, including API documentation. (Hint: You can configure KDevelop to load Qt documentation from
/usr/share/doc/qt5
, where the documentation in QCH format is installed.)

KCachegrind: the popular KDE call graph and performance profile viewer. Selecting the option will also install the Valgrind command-line tool, which is needed to actually profile applications and produce the profiles that KCachegrind can view.

Kannolo Packager Kit: an RPM package development kit, consisting of command-line tools used to build RPM packages, and of the Copr CLI (command-line interface) that can be used to submit the packages to a Copr repository if desired.
