Some people, I in their number, have theirself in comtact list, in order to check icq-connection, because often no contacts online except you.
Server-side contact list supports yourself in your contact list. How about to add it in your program?

sort jabber groupchat list

I would like to be able to sort the jabber groupchat list so that it is easier to find a special channel I am looking for. A search function for this window would be cool too.
For the first it would be enough to be able to sort the channelnames alphabetically.
At the moment it is quite hard to find e.g. on conference.jabber.org a special chatroom, because there a several hundred of them and they are displayed completely unordered.

anti-spam protection

Dear developers,

in the last time a lot of spam (like russian job offers etc.) bugs me on icq. I googled the original windows icq client offers something like "ignore messages by users who are not on your contact list". I think that would not be too complicated to implement in kopete as well?

Thanks in advance for your considerations.

send message to user not on list

the ability to send a message to a user without having to add them to your contact list would be nice, as far as i can tell, currently this is impossible... (so inorder to start a conversation i need to also bug them with a add request via yahoo, can be rather rude to some people)

translation

Would Kopete be supporting double byte character like
would like to have the option for it to be a single tab.

The reason I ask for this is I run kopete on another
machine over broadband via an ssh x11 forward.
Obviously this may not be the best way to run the app,
but I have my reasons. The problem is, each time
something redraws it causes some lag. So when I go
from chatting with one person to chatting with two it
has to redraw a good portion of the window because it
goes from not being tabbed to being tabbed. If it were
already tabbed it would be less of a hit.

I'm a recent kde convert. Before when I was strictly
gnome and gtk apps gaim might not have been as pretty
but it was much more usable over broadband/ssh x11
forwarding. Again, I know the fact that I run it this
way is not your problem but catering to people like us
that do run it this way would be very much appreciated!

Additionally any other options you can give to
minimalize the interface would be great.

Thanks!

User Online Notification

Please, somebody must limit the length of nickname in
the "user online" notification. Actually, if the joined
hide all panel!

some reason hasn't and has been bugging me is multiline away
messages. When you set a custom away messages you only get a
single line to write in, which most of the time is ok, but sometimes
its not enough (write now I have the custom away message box
open and want to type a multiple line one so bad!)

This feature doesn't seem like it would be too hard to implement
(seems like it would just be resizing of the widget, and enabling the
multiline mode)

Thanks for making the best looking IM client I have ever seen!

SMSSend Support

Would it be possible to add SMSSend support in the next
