&lt;p&gt;The simh project maintainer insists that MinGW-w64 (and -w32) have to fix windows.h.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;(a) What's the impact of removing the virtdisk.h #include from windows.h?&lt;br/&gt;
