The used entry (label) is displayed as a tooltip.
The IP address of the proxy can also be used as a label.

Use of a script:
In a script, a different proxy can be used for each URL.
Which proxy to use is evaluated by the browser.
The result of the evaluation is not known to the MM3-ProxySwitch,
a unique display of a proxy is therefore not possible.

Your suggestion is probably not to be realized uniquely or I did not
understand your suggestion correctly.

I would like to know at all times what is the actual proxy I am using
if i have a script then I would like to see the resulting proxy in a tooltip on the mm3 icon, or if I set SYSTEM I would like to see the ip of the system proxy if there is one shown in the tooltip of mm3 icon.

The command "import=IP" is only supported until Firefox version 56. The newer versions of Firefox use WebExtension. This means that local access is no longer possible. Therefore the local IP cannot be determined.

You are probably using a newer version of Firefox.
In the MM3-ProxySwitch a tool tip points to the not implemented command.

As soon as the IP can be determined again, we will implement the command again.

I have this section in my configuration:

[192.168.238.80
http=192.168.238.1:3128
https=192.168.238.1:3128
ftp=192.168.238.1:3128
socks=192.168.238.1:1080

import=IP

but when I do "syntax check" it marks "import=IP" as bad.

The API of Firefox does not currently support setting DOH.
As soon as this possibility is available, we will offer it.

Unfortunately we do not have another idea at the moment.

In order for us to understand your requirement correctly, we need further information:

1) You would like to access a web page with a fixed domain or IP address.

Example:
https://example.com/path/yourPage.html

Here is fixed: https://example.com
Variable is: /path/yourPage.html

2) Can these web pages only be addressed via a proxy with a dynamic IP?

3) Should all other web pages not use the proxy?

4) Does the PAC file have a fixed url or is it a local file?

5) Can you change the content of the PAC file?

Hello!
Site accessable only with dynamically changing proxy in PAC file.
Maybe possible to select proxy if testURL == false? Or maybe solution to select proxy by domain but with PAC, not ip address? Like RETURN "https://test.test/proxy.pac"

In the "Firefox 67 release" from May 21, 2019 the bug was fixed
which changed the port of the protocols https, ftp and socks to their default values.

Vielen Dank für Ihre Nachfrage.

Aufgrund der Neuentwicklung mit WebExtension wurde die Einstellungen in die SQLite Datenbank des Browsers integriert.

Am einfachsten ist, die Konfiguration in der SQLite Datei (storage-sync.sqlite) zu verändern.

Eine weitere Möglichkeit könnte sein, die Grundkonfiguration in der xpi-Datei (zip) zu verändern. Damit würde die von Mozilla erstellte Signierung jedoch nicht mehr passen. Es könnte jedoch sein, dass bei Nutzung eines Installationstools die Integrität nicht überprüft wird. Dies haben wir nicht getestet.

Es wäre daher entscheidend wie Sie die Erweiterung in Ihrer Umgebung ausliefern.
