The only change is for Windows, where the tool xum154cfg was replaced by the tool that is also used on all other platforms. The old tool was plainly wrong and outdated.

OpenCBM 0.4.99.98

Finally...
I made OpenCBM 0.4.99.98 the "official" version. The files can be found in the files section.
It comes with an updated manual, and a quick installation guide.
More info to come.

git URL changed

As it seems this went unnoticed for many people:

The git URL has been changed. This is because of some reorganisation on SourceForge's path. Unfortunately, the old git repositry is still available, which can make you believe you get the latest, when you do not.

If you do not have an check in from 2013, you are on the wrong repository.

Have a look at https://sourceforge.net/p/opencbm/code/ci/master/tree/ to find out the new URL of the repository, or change it to git://git.code.sf.net/p/opencbm/code (RO access for non-developers) or ssh://USERNAME@git.code.sf.net/p/opencbm/code (RW access for developers) in order to get the latest.

I have announced this before on the developer's mailing list, but there was still confusion. That's why I am posting this here, so any non-developer is made aware of the fact, too.

This is mainly a bugfix release. The binary distribution of version 0.4.1 on Windows was not correctly build and included (unnecessary) debug information. Additionally, the documentation was missing. This has been fixed now. For Linux, v0.4.1 and v0.4.2 are identical, only the version number and date have changed. If you do not have any problems with 0.4.1, you do not need to change to this version.

From his web page:

"The last couple of releases didn’t get tested too well, but I’ve spent two days working on this release and testing things as thoroughly as possible. If you find a bug, please let me know!

Fixes:

    * Default Directory now works.
    * Using a different directory on the PC now works for all transfers"

Currently, he has reached v0.6.1.

Note, however, that this "new" version of gui4cbm4win needs .NET installed on your machine in order to run, unlike the old versions (< v0.4.1)
