The opentaps Open Source ERP + CRM application suite released version 1.0.0 Preview 7 today. Significant enhancements from the last preview release include:

* A set of cross-application unit tests to verify the correctness of key areas such as order management, inventory, purchasing, and accounting.
* Improved e-mail processing and management features. Customer service e-mails can now be associated with orders and assigned to different reps for processing.
* Improved the use of form letters for generating outgoing e-mails and
* Support for managing resellers and partners, including contact information, agreements and contracts, and invoicing partners based on their sales activity.
* Completed most of the documentation site for opentaps screens.
* Completed the Amazon.com integration. This feature is now in production and allows the uploading of products and inventory information to Amazon, the downloading of orders, and the acknowledgment of shipments.
* Completed contact, calendar, and task integration using the Funambol data synchronization server. This will enable our users to integrate opentaps with Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, mobile phones, as well as Google calendar and Gmail.
* Improved support for UPC codes and other product ID schemes such as ISBN throughout the application for use with barcode scanners.
* Support for DBCP database connections
* Support for localized date entry formats

* Amazon.com product, inventory, and order integration now ready for beta-testing
* Google Checkout support
* Support for credit card security code in online store and internal order entry
* CRM activity and cases security enhancements: highlighting of new cases and activities and security settings to make activities private
* Significantly enhanced Material Resources Planning (MRP)
* Support for third party warehouse inventory, such as those held in backup or supplier warehouses

* Improvements to built-in reporting capabilities, with better support for JasperReports, charting, and Excel files.

* Ebay and Amazon.com order integration
* Support for paychecks and payroll features
* Integrated postal address validation in CRM module and support for bulk postal mailing labels

* Cash drawer for tracking cash transactions
* Credit limits feature
* Improvements throughout the order entry, warehouse, and purchasing applications.
