Oh ok great. I ended up finding another blog that works even better
Nibbleblog. It looks nicer and has a cleaner design to it.

I upload an image with the image uploader and I go to add an entry and
select an image from the dropdown menu, but the image does not show in the
post. I tried adding it with html, but plain text shows.

i just went through the update fix trunks:

and i found the fix
I will apply right now

kimberleigh you need to update certain files
you better download the latest snapshot at:

https://sourceforge.net/p/sphpblog/svn/HEAD/tree/trunk/

and update the whole blog
or repair file by file following the svn 284 (first link)

This patch fixes the CC.org urls, as the licence selection wasn't previously reflected in them, only the license version.
It also points to the per-licence gif image, instead of a generic one.
