One of the limitations I have found with Winteracter (a now untraded company, formerly "Interactive Software Services Ltd. ") is lack of options to allow screen resizing or panning, especially the first screen to display. If I get some responses, I might put some effort to see if I can remedy this, which may be in vain, given the limitations of their GUI.

I encourage discussion of beam topics, for example, the added flexibility of shear deformation energy which most finite element piping programs take account of. You can turn this option on or off in TomBeam's <run setup=""> <incl shear="" deformation="">. Selecting this option translates to greater magnitude deflection of the beam when shear deformation is accounted for. The calculation of gravity-direction deflections becomes complicated because shear deformations propagate down the beam with a different phenomenon of rotational deflection than that seen with Bernoulli flexural-only bending. The support reactions can change in a multi-span beam when shear deformation is accounted for as compared to flexure alone.</incl></run>
