while trying to track an individual bumble bee in a petri dish, I struggle with the detection step. I calculated the background as average of 100 pixels (I tried different numbers here before), and while it looks like it recognizes the bumble bee in the background page, it doesn´t show up in the detection - no matter what thresholds I try. The original video is recorded in red light, but pilot videos in white light showed the same result. How can I fix this?
Thank you,
I have just installed the 2025 1.1 ToxTrac version and in area definition>zone management I cannot find the Zone type menu (see attachment) to define the zones within the arena. I am trying to use the software for open field tracking with mice. Any suggestions? Thank you for your help!

#3 Time spent in zones

create zones
export statics
open the sheet associated with the arena whose zone you want to target
scroll left
you will find something like this(image shown)

Time spent in zones

I would like to use ToxTrac to determine the time spent in each zone of a given arena but I cannot figure out how to view the statistics for this matter. In the versions section, there are notes decribing that time spent in each zone should be calculated automatically but i cannot view them/ find where they are stored. I select an arena, then define the zones but when I run the file and save the statistics, it does not download anything about the zones.

Please let me know if there is a way to solve this issue.
