If you build yourself from git (x86_64 only: aarch64 not possible I guess), does it work properly?

Hexen 2 Binary downloads don't work

The current Mac OS X downloads are either misconfigured or just too old for my M3 Apple Silicon MacBook Pro. As it is, it fails to launch and only reports a segmentation fault.

Attached are the crash logs. I doubt you'll get a whole bunch of info about them.

Retina support

As it is, Hexen 2 doesn't like my Mac with a built-in Retina display. First, it tries to fill the screen with a window that is double the size of the actual screen. If I set the display manually, (
-width 800 -height 600 -bpp 32
) the actual screen is in the lower left-hand corner of the screen (see attachment).

#58 Items dropping issues

#185 Sprite projectile transparency not working

The issue must be from a combination of the assets and how HoT works internally; Running the original retail game with patch 1.09 applied and using nGlide to make it run on Win 10. Here the black color in the sprite for weapon nr 2 for the necromancer is almost entirely transparent meaning it looks a lot better and on top of that the projectiles for weapon nr 3 for the necromancer (wooden spikes) don't rotate and have a trail behind them. Patching the original to version 1.11 sees the same issue as with HoT.

But using the pak files from 1.09 in HoT doesn't make any difference visually, but in the original there is a difference between both the unpatched launch version, 1.09 and 1.11. Just by replacing the pak files.

#185 Sprite projectile transparency not working

Thanks for clarifying either way. Nice to know where the issue lies.
I'll report back if I can answer it myself.

#185 Sprite projectile transparency not working

I read somewhere that this happened for the base game because of the last 1.11 patch. Is it as simple as replacing the asset itself with the one from the expansion or an older version of the base game?

Honestly, I don't know that.

#185 Sprite projectile transparency not working

I read somewhere that this happened for the base game because of the last 1.11 patch.
