Bluetooth Device as a Token

Would it be worth it to switch this over to use bluetooth and set it so that it just looks for a device ID or MAC or whatever? A LOT of people have bluetooth devices now and it would work great in conjunction with a bluetooth headset used for home voice control. (I'm thinking HAL2000 software)

Option to turn off balloon popup notifications

Hello

I earlier 'seconded' a feature request to have the option to 'ignore' certain Keyfob IDs.

After reconsidering, I think it would simply be easier to have an option to enable/disable the system tray balloon popups.

I know it is possible to disable these popups through Windows but then all popups are disabled. It is only the large volume of KeyFob Id popups that is hugely distracting.

Ignore KeyFob Id

For some reason, I am detecting some KeyFobs that I cannot explain, since nobody else here at the office uses the wireless security device (as far as I could find).

Every 3 to 5 minute I am warned that "Unauthorized KeyFob (nnnn) has returned" and then that "Unauthorized KeyFob (nnnn) is no longer detected", which is very distracting.

It would be nice if I could "right click" on the KeyFob Id and set it to "ignore" in addition to "authorized" and "Not Authorized".

Don't lock if the computer is in use

I don't know about anyone else, but the range for my transmitter is sometimes really low, like 1-2 feet. As a result, sometimes I may be in the middle of writing an email or browsing the internet when the application will lock the computer. This is very frustrating.

What would be nice is if the application would check the activity of the computer before entering the lock state. If the keyboard and mouse are in use, don't lock the machine.

This could be further refined by allowing a configurable warning to show up just before entering the lock state. "Computer will lock in 3 seconds!" for instance. The user could then cancel the lock action by either moving the mouse or using the keyboard.

Icon change when not protecting

When the application is not protecting (because no authorized key fob is present), change the icon in the system tray. For example, the icon might instead be red (or perhaps amber) instead of green to make it more obvious that there is no protection. Currently, it just doesn't throb (indicating no authorized heartbeat), which is a little subtle.

Support Multiple Vendor IDs

Apparently they have released this device with multiple
vendor IDs. Mine shows up as:
"VID_13B7&PID_7417"
I was able to work around it by changing the search to
"&PID_7417". There may be a more elegant way to fix the
problem.

FOB must be present

Noticed that if you login without the FOB present, you
can continue working normally. As I understand it this
is a normal "feature" especially handy if one loses
their FOB or its battery dies.

How about an option so that one must have the FOB? If
one logs in with the password, it immediately relocks
if the FOB is not present. A poor man's two-pass
authetication as it were (something you know [password]
and something you have [fob]).

Enter Password

Have the program enter a password for you when you
return. At the very least have it popup the window.

Having a presence threshold

Excellent software - it makes me wish I could program!

How about it has to be present for more than a certain
amount of time before the program does anything, rather
than just the "away threshold" thing that it has now.

I use the transmitter on my front door and the sensor
down the hall. When they come into contact the computer
does things (only unmute audio right now, because I
can't work out how to install plugins), but sometimes
it thinks the key is near (like if I'm walking past the
detector with loose change in my pocket) when it's not.
Could we set up how long it takes the connection to be
made before the PC does anything?

Standby

Be able to put the system into standby/take it out of
standby mode using the wireless lock. It might be
possible to take the system out of standby, I've
noticed the usb fob still functions in standby mode.
Possibly some registry key in windows allows for
wakeups through usb?
