and the home web page for VBISAM is dead, I will post
this inquiry here.

Version 1.03 of VBISAM will compile on Win32 using
Cygwin. However it fails to compile using MinGW, due to
the missing 'uid_t' file structure, among other problems.

Unless I have missed some thing, this leads me to
conclude that VBISAM was designed for a POSIX, UN*X
like file systems only.

So I was wondering, are there are any plans to support
Win32 without a POSIX emulation layer ?

Porting on HPUX and AIX

Hi,

I'am very interesting in the VBISAM, so I tried to port it
on HPUX and AIX and link with our products (inspite of c-
isam).

In order to resolve some compilation problem I have
changed the following files:
Makefile
isinternal.h
isHelper.c
vbDataIO.c

The changed files are in the attachement (look at
word "Misha").

Are you planning to create the file reparation utility (like
bcheck) in the future?
