When installing WINNT POSIX 1.1.x using the "Add
Hardware" wizard in Windows XP, Windows crashes. Here
is the data I recovered from the Event Viewer.

Kernel stops

After installing winnt posix my system crashed and I
was left unable to boot due to a kernel stop.

Unfortunately I was too concerned with getting my
system back up and running to save the memory
dump or logs. I'll try to recall what I can:

There were two different kernel stop errors,
depending on whether I booted normally, which would
give a stop error about something to do with a page
fault in psxdll2.dll, and when i tried booting with safe
mode then there was some other kernel stop error in
win32api.dll or some such.

System details:

WINXP pro patched up until (but not including) SP1.

Epox EP-8kta+ running 2624 bios

in the situation:
pid_t pid = fork ();
while (1) {
if (pid == 0) {
pid = fork ();
...
} else {
...
}
}
After some hundreds call of fork Win2K may crush. How much depended of size of RAM.

In the result under XP process may generate exceptions after NT syscalls (amd processors) or not work (intel processors).
