  • a great software,love it,very useful
  • Easy to install and use.
  • Typically the first thing I install on any new PC
  • I do like the ZBar Bar code reader program and it does work but I find it a bit buggy. For example when you have it open and you go find QR codes like on google images it randomly freezes, the preview screen freezes and the program doesn't scan anything but it does work. Closing and restarting the software fixes this issue but it will eventually freeze again which is a pain. It does need work but it does work quite well for scanning QR codes. I found some links to videos by using this program. I'm not sure if it's my PC as I'm running XP SP3 or if it's my playstation 2 eyetoy webcam. Not sure which version I have I downloaded it from this site.
  • very high accuracy and easy integration into third-party applications!
  • How do you make money off this? Its hard to provide this much happiness for free.... We need something like this for work.

  • I easily put together it under Linux and have fun with zbarimg program. Before long I have found zbarimg a really readable and nice example using zbar as C programming library. Python good examples are better still..

  • barcode reader can help us read a lot of barcodes. knowing some info about the product , very good. but your introduction is not good. you can have a look at http://www.onbarcode.com/products/net_barcode_reader/
  • Built on iSeries/AS400. Works great !! Thanks a lot to all developers.
  • I use this in an iPhone App. Excellent barcode library - easy to integrate, and fast, and rock solid. Highly recommended. Kudos to the developer.
  • Used the library in an app called 'Barcode Air' . Great product, easy to compile in Linux and easy to integrate into software, good forum also. The library is easily changed and compiled. This is better than other similar products that I have tested.
  • I use zbarimg to connect my Java applicaction with alfresco and sap . This application is excellent . Thanks
  • Excellent. Awesome
  • Easy, fast and fun :)
  • Works excellent on Linux and Windows!
  • I managed to do a quick script to add my books to goodreads.com by scanning the ISBN in 5 minutes! Check it out: http://is.gd/ePGV0 Zbar is a great tool!
  • Just for an update. I had to download the source from the following link to get it to compile. http://zbar.hg.sourceforge.net/hgweb/zbar/zbar/file/5d1a09b5a8a0/zbar but, when i scan, i cant get it to work on my iphone os 3.1.3, 3 G. Does it only work on 3 GS? Thank you, ------------ before ----------- I can't get the sample code to compile. I followed the instruction on http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/zbar/index.php?title=HOWTO:_Add_a_barcode_reader_to_an_iPhone_app . I got 75 errors and 46 warning message, using SDK 3.1.3. example of the received error code is: Documents/Meguiar/myapp/zbar/iphone/../include/zbar/ZBarCaptureReader.h:48:0 /Users/Documents/Meguiar/myapp/zbar/iphone/../include/zbar/ZBarCaptureReader.h:48: error: expected specifier-qualifier-list before 'AVCaptureVideoDataOutput' Any idea? Thank you,
  • Fast QR Code engine. I am using this library in my iPhone App: QR+Emoji (http://bit.ly/qremoji) with my own QR Code parser, and it works like a charm!
  • I easily compiled it under Linux and play with zbarimg program. After a while I've found zbarimg a very readable and nice example how to use zbar as C programming library. Python examples are even better... :D. I highly recommend this as programming library of choice :)
