Kasm Workspaces

Pros: I loved the isolation of the browser.
I didn't have to download the software, which would cause my PC to slow down and maybe result to viruses.
No more worrying about VPNs!

Cons: There are very little things that I do not like. I would just say that the 5 dollar subscription should include about 200 hours.

Overall: Overall, Kasm is a very convenient software. I am able to complete all of my work effectively. Also the staff is very nice, they're almost always present and ready to help customers.

Pros: The tool is fast, simple and safe, perfect for the information security activities when you need a fresh environment.

Cons: Could have more desktops such some Microsoft options like Windows.

Overall: Excellent experience nowadays is my daily tool and very hands on for my analysis. Perfect.

Pros: Kasm is just quite amazing. I haven't seen any other software stream a docker container to your browser! I am just blown away at how amazing Kasm is. You can create your own images, virtually customize every aspect about Kasm and more. Kasm really helps me malware test, click on suspicious links without putting my PC in jeopardy.

Cons: Nothing really. I had some issues at first but Kasm Support helped a ton!

Overall: Kasm is the best docker streaming platform I have ever seen. Especially to your browser! I recommend Kasm to everyone!

Pros: Kasm is a streaming containerized browsers, apps, desktops, etc.
What I love about is their feature of Browser Isolation. Ever encounter a link that sounds a bit shady to access. With Kasm, you can open it within the container so you don't have to work about it. The experience will seamless.

Also, their customer care is top notch. I dealt with Kevin and his response was prompt and addressed my queries right away.

Cons: Their SaaS solution doesn't have a admin console (except in the case of business with more than 25 users) which is bumper to configure browser extension.

So self-hosted options is recommended in this case.

Overall: Overall love the product & customer support so far. The product core strength is its simplicity at the core.

Pros: It's really easy to setup. I tested it first on a virtual machine which resulted in some strange errors. After contacting the Kasm team (to be honest: without any hopes to get a helpful response) they really dug into my problem and helped me solve my issue (which was related to the time sync (and different timezones) between the host and guest OS).
It's also very nice to have some pre-built containers but also the option to create your own containers.

Cons: It would be perfect if it would support also VMs (with different OS's). This would allow complete independence to do each and every task on the server.

Overall: Very good solution with great support and huge potential.
I am really eager to see the next features.

Pros: It is super easy to set up, view workstations that are active. Payment is easy as well. It looks modern and can be set up within seconds.

Cons: If you don't pay the 5 dollars a month you are very limited. Maybe they can loosen the limits a bit on that.

Overall: Overall a great experience to test dodgy links, checking for viruses etc. Used it for a while now and love it.

Pros: Kasm Workspaces is very easy to install, It only took me about 30 minutes to get it up and running. They have done a great job with the web UI design. It is also very easy to add new containers, since they are based of docker images. I personally like how easy it is to add another user, it only takes a matter of minutes. And there is a lot of documentation to assist with any problems you might have.

Cons: There's not much to say here, but what comes to mind first is the inability of the admin account to view (see what is going on) all current sessions. That may be my mistake however.

Overall: I have been using Kasm for a couple months now and I have enjoyed it a lot. I started using for school actually, since my district blocked all of notetaking apps that I like to use. I also set up a custom container for an audio service that I like. I started using this just for myself, then a buddy of mine asked for me to make a user for him and this system has been going strong for a good 2 months now. I also want to point out that they have amazing support, that answered all of the questions I had very promptly.

Pros: Ease of use is excellent & product is reliable, Speed is excellent, compatibility with all the browsers I use.

Cons: Option to use the Windows desktop, or server, it also would be great to have a MAC OS desktop app.

Overall: Very satisfied with the product.

Pros: I love the compatibility on mobile! Personally I have not even used it on desktop, but I never have had to! It just seems to work with nearly no problems at all on my iPhone 11 using Safari.

In addition to the compatibility, I also love the amount of functions. There are so many useful things, including an on-screen keyboard, audio support that goes BOTH WAYS (mic & speaker), and file managing tools.

In terms of pricing, they offer a free community edition, kinda like IntelliJ IDEA. I LOVE this because it allows individuals to use the service and see what it does as well as experience much of the functionality without a large cost.

Cons: The ONLY issue I noticed was that microphone support on iOS does not seem to work at all, which is minor in the grand scheme of things.

Overall: I haven't spent a TON of time with this application, but I do think that it both has potential and is already amazing even in its current state. I would love to see where it goes in the future!

Pros: Multitude of different apps to choose and use, deployable to different regions. Super easy to use and deploy with a very intuitive and easy design! Never had to use their support so I am only rating them as 3.

Cons: Would be good to have Different versions of Windows as well, i know this can be quite tricky with licencing however!

Overall: Great and easy to use, would recommend as a VDI to anyone! There are loads of apps, i just wish we could get some windows desktops as well then it would be a full package!

Pros: As a VDI engineer, one of the most challenging tasks for me is creating images. The process of creating an image using Kasm is done as code. Using devops practice to create a base/golden image can reduce management overhead, because future updates will not require you to reinstall applications or reconfigure settings in the operating system. Using the base image in the code also allows for team collaboration, because everyone on my team can view the work done in the golden image line by line, instead of relying on SMB or application owners to share information about how to install specific applications information. I have implemented different VDI solutions in this field for more than 15 years, and Kasm is the most innovative solution because they are using containers.

Cons: Because the technology is based on Linux, it is impossible to run some Windows applications, but I hope this situation will change in the near future, because most applications are web-based and are now developed for different operating systems of.

Overall: Kasm provides our users with an isolated and safe desktop to use. It allows a level of customization that can be adapted to the needs of users and administrators. I strongly recommend you to try Kasm!

Overall: It's simple to create the account, and it is a good platform, in my sincere opinion it came to innovate in the category!

Pros: I like the ability to generate isolated environments with a click of a button. It was super easy to bring the solution on and make it facing public with super ease.

Cons: Requires a bit of work to get it configured with your existing proxying solutions. I use Traefik as its a popular solution for docker containers.

Overall: Great/ little product and super easy to set up and get going. It might require a little set up to fit into your existing solutions.

Pros: Kasm is very easy to use and can be accessed through the browser without the need to install a VPN client.

Cons: There's not much to dislike, well maybe sometimes the speed of browsing.

Overall: Using and setting up Kasm is a very easy and amazing experience. I would strongly recommend trying Kasm, it's a great product.

Pros: I’ve used Kasm for many years and I have to say it’s been working really well for me and I love their great support team.

Cons: Some latency and sometimes it can be really laggy.

Overall: Really good I would recommend it to a friend cause it has a balance of usability and latency, also love how easy it is to set up.

Overall: It is an amazing thing that enables to get done things that my personal computer or office wont for whatever reason.

Overall: With KASM, it is very lightweight and applicable, and the isolation environment is almost as good as the real world user experience.

Pros: Kasm is the first true "Workplace in the Cloud”, providing access to applications, desktops and browsers.

I use Kasm for presentations of my work-in-progress. I can share my screen with participants without putting my browser at risk. The Sharing feature is also useful for remote screen sharing during web conferences or meetings without having to join into a web conference application. The broad range of powerful features of Kasm allows me to interact with the Web without exposing my computer/browser to risks such as malware or phishing attacks and data loss during a system crash.

Cons: The copy and paste can is only functional through the control panel on the left.

Overall: It's very cost-effective and hands down the most secure browser with the added VDI this is an absolute bargain.

Pros: Kasm provides a safe way to visit websites, check webmail and open files without putting my computer at risk. As a realtor, I have to open files from clients and colleagues who may not have the latest security protections. By using a desktop in the cloud, I can ensure that my computer is not compromised.

Cons: Additional browser login when opening the desktop.

Overall: With more people working from home during COVID, not everyone has access to the latest cybersecurity protection which makes it important to take precautions against web threats. Kasm allows me to interact with untrusted email and files without putting my own system at risk.
