StreamYard

Pros: There are lots of broadcast studio options available for people wanting to live stream or record videos. That being said I don’t think that there are any that are as good of a value as StreamYard is. StreamYard is constantly making the product better, giving advice to its users, and making the product so user-friendly that anyone could utilize it. It is by far one of the best investments I have made for my business and my YouTube channel. I would recommend stream yard to anyone to try, you will not be disappointed.

Cons: I really can’t think of any cons of the product. It is so easy to use with so many features it is just amazing.

Overall: When Covid happened I decided to start a YouTube channel to try and help jobseekers find a new job during the most difficult of times. Through that channel I have been able to help thousands and thousands of people. None of it could’ve been possible without StreamYard. I had never recorded a video on YouTube or any other social media platform before I started this endeavor. Thanks to StreamYard we now have almost 300 videos out there and the response to our channel has been amazing. I credit StreamYard with helping me help so many others during these difficult times through their amazing product.

Pros: Ease of use and minimal set-up.
Variety of platforms to broadcast to.
Free version to test it out.
Online community to troubleshoot and request features.

Cons: I dislike having to navigate the menu and click on the various features, to use them. I'd prefer to be able to set up my most used features in one view.

Overall: I am not a major techie but needed to get my club meetings online during the pandemic. StreamYard works as both a basic easy way to get broadcasting fast as a video newbie , and allows you to produce more professional looking broadcasts as you learn or if you have advanced skills already. The fact that I can live broadcast or record an edited video is the best of both worlds. And having a free version, allows for trying it out without any anxiety. My guests have quickly taken to the system with a quick run through.

Pros: Ease of use simple to train hosts, ease of banners, brands and overlays, ease of use on phones, and tablets.

Cons: None need longer videos, need videos for green screen.

Overall: Great product, need more destinations, great customer service, ease of going live on 8 destinations, and recording.

Pros: - Anyone can quickly set up and start using this tool, no previous tech skills required.
- Hassle-free access for my guests
- I can see comments and reply back right from Streamyard, I don’t need to jump between platforms while streaming.
- The new feature to livestream a pre-recorded video is amazing!
- You can have a lot of “cameras” and give your videos a professional look, just by connecting more smartphones to the stream.

Cons: - The brand personalization is limited
- StreamYard lacks a music/audio playing feature
- When you stream to two or more channels of the same social network, the Comments section doesn’t specify from which channel the comments are coming from.

Overall: I started using StreamYard back on March 2020 and I immediately loved how easy-to-use it was, as opposed to streaming right from the social network, this platform didn’t require tech skills to work seamlessly.

It’s been almost two years since the first webinar I made through StreamYard and during this time there has been a lot of improvements and new features added. The developers are constantly innovating and listening to the customer’s feedback.

I’ve reached to their Customer Support team a few times, and they always respond promptly and with a great attitude.

As for the brand personalization options, I wish we could add our personal fonts, but so far the current themes are great and can get you a long way.

My boss has asked me to research other live-streaming platforms to see if we can find a better option, but the price-point, overall features, flexibility and ease-of-use that StreamYard offers cannot be compared!

Pros: 1. The best technical support and fastest responses of anyone on the planet!
2. It is very easy to use and easy to manipulate with WONDERFUL options for great Livestreaming.
3. It streams to multiple platforms at once.
4. Inserting uploaded videos is super simple.

Cons: I don't like that I can't directly use Stream Deck.

Overall: Awesome! Super! Incredible! Amazing! Wonderful! Lovely! Low Stress Streaming. This is a great platform.

Pros: Finding StreamYard made me realize how much I didn't know about live streaming and the equipment you need to go live. Most of what I have/use is because of StreamYard. I was able to purchase the right equipment, do the right setup in order to go live.
I like the ease of use
Allows me to do my live stream to multi-platforms
Without StreamYard, not sure I would have the courage to go live.
Without StreamYard, I'm not sure my livestream would be as good as it is visually or if the audio would have sound as good.
The different training videos are awesome.
I like that they keep improving the platform.

Cons: I have no cons in using this platform, they are always improving the platform, so what's not there you can expect it there in the future.

Overall: I love this platform. I love using StreamYard. I have recommended it to to other users. I will be using it forever.

Pros: Simple.

Cons: Some features are not currently available that are used elsewhere.

Overall: I’ve been using StreamYard for about a year now and love it. I came from a school that taught me OBS and it was just too complicated. StreamYard allows me to seamless run my live production that I do 5 days/week with my 3 other cohosts that live in different parts of the country. On top of that, they are always improving and getting better. After every broadcast, the site allows me to rate the quality of StreamYard and asks for improvements and every single thing I’ve asked for, has been addressed in the StreamYard Town Hall and then gets fixed.

Pros: StreamYard has allowed us to really up our game when it comes to communicating with stakeholders. We get regular comments on how professional our efforts are. I'm anxious to see new features unfold.

Cons: None. I wish it had more squeeze zoom-type features, but there are no cons to this product.

Overall: If you do streaming videos and want a more professional look, this is the single tool that can help you accomplish that.

Pros: Easy to use and web based. Even my Children who are below 14 can use it. It makes my streams look professional.

Cons: Graphic designs can be improved. I find it a little pricey though.

Overall: Best streaming platform in the World. It has given the leverage I never expected I could get. I'm indebted to StreamYard.

Pros: 1. There was absolutely no learning curve. I had been struggling to learn OBS when a friend told me about StreamYard. It was love at first stream. I actually started telling others about it on the first try. I had never streamed before.
2. It was the first company I had come across where you could do lots of stuff in their free package without compromising the stream. I mean 20 hours of streaming per month was awesome
3. The customer support, whether you were using the free version or not was great
4. StreamYard Town Hall - engaging the customer.

Cons: There is not much that I do not like about StreamYard. I think what I don't like is what I would like to do but cannot - such as:
1 - sort my scheduled streams in order of scheduled broadcast dates instead of created dates
2. Be able to setup recurring dates for my streams

Overall: My overall experience with StreamYard has been entirely positive I happily recommend them to anyone who asks (and sometimes even those who do not ask [ :D ] )

Pros: Streamyard is one of the absolute easiest software to use for both beginners and more advanced streamers.
It is easy to connect to your chosen destination(s), the different layout options are intuitive, and you have the chat right in front of you.
I also love the fact that it is browser based, so for people with slower internet and/or older computers a local "hiccup" doesn't end the stream.

Cons: There isn't really anything that I dislike, but to improve I would like to see the chat turned so new comments come in from the top so they are easier to read while still maintaining eye contact with your audience.

Overall: I use StreamYard at least twice a week, multistreaming occasionally, and love the ease of using the website, and if anyone is new to live streaming my number one recommendation would without hesitation be StreamYard.

Pros: Super fast set up and I can train my associates in minutes. I can explain the steps to a client or speaker from a conference and they can quickly log in, share their screen and get on with their day.

Cons: Need to rearrange a few of the buttons inside to allow for faster switching banners and brand assets. Almost there...

Overall: Quick set up for podcasts, interviews, conference sessions even political campaign video recordings. The guests don't get burdened with the administrative "stuff" that with StreamYard they don't see.

Pros: -Ease of use: everything is intuitive, you can figure out your way around it in less than 30 minutes even if you have no previous experience.
-Active community: any questions, feature requests, workarounds are widely shared in the Facebook group, and we get direct responses from people working there
-Continuous improvement: since I started using in May 2020, there have been a ton of enhancements that have been done. You get the sense that they are really listening to their users. My favorite so far are bulk upload of assets and stereo audio.

Cons: -Certain limitations such as ability to change fonts or upload lower thirds. I’m not a huge fan of the existing 4 styles, so most of the time I create lower thirds of my own, then need to switch overlays etc for 2-cam setups. If I could upload my lower thirds or at least change the fonts for the presets, it would make my life easier. Not a biggie though.

Overall: This is an excellent platform and made livestreaming easily accessible to everyone. Thanks StreamYard! I’ve been using it since last year and approaching our 100th show.

Pros: Easy to use.
Well laid out.
Great range of techniques.
Amazing community of users on Facebook and the training content is easy to follow.

Cons: Limited to OBS needs additional features such as intro creators etc.

A little basic compared to some others but it’s changing all the time.

Overall: Amazing never done live streaming before this made it so easy . I now produce two weekly podcasts on record output and a charity live events which have gained great reviews thanks to the ease of the software.

Pros: We can now connect with many guests in just one place for organizing such kind of great and productive discussions, conferences, workshops as well as webinars. I just love this.

Cons: I liked all but I think like background and logo facility should be available for all in free mode so that max people can enjoy it
via this way lots of people will love to use this app.

Overall: I just love to use this its totally easy to use and it's really awesome app for productive talks and connecting to the world.

Pros: StreamYard has been a pioneer in the way ordinary people are able to build a platform and let their voices be heard. I never thought that I would be able to host a professionally designed show without a company hiring me to do one. StreamYard has changed that — once and for all!

Never before has it been so easy to reach mass audiences, so why not do it in the highest quality way possible? I love using StreamYard, and I’m never leaving!

Cons: There was nothing I did not like — customer service reps are engaging and quick to respond if there are technical issues, which rarely arise.

Overall: My overall experience with StreamYard has been amazing. The online community of show hosts, producers, and administrators is tremendously beneficial to learning new features and bonding over our love of live-streaming.

Pros: Very easy to operate and good.

Cons: Lack of features
1) ppt sharing in single monitor awkward. should be very easy like video sharing and clickable
2) background music (melon has already this feature)
3) lack of banner/branding... should allow customized branding or sale theme.
4) very slow to deploy new features

Overall: I recommend but please roll out new features quickly.

Pros: The UX and resources are great and easy to use. It is the most easy tool for streaming in the world
The StreamYard team always improve the solution.

Cons: Increase to 4 the number of channels per professional account like mine.. My actual plan has just 3.

The design about script could improve.

Overall: It is the most easy tool for streaming in the world.. the speed of launch of new features is good enough.

Pros: Very easy to use and awesome functionality - SY team staying in loop with users and listening and making improvements based on user input ! Continuous new features. The ability to multi stream to many diverse platforms.

Cons: No multi cam ability without 4rd party tools. No support for SRT or HLS destinations. No on screen audio level monitoring for guest for the hosts. Would be nice to have built in audio mixing similar to voicemeeter.

Overall: Great easy to use resilient streaming platform. Have not had any issues or glitches caused by the software! Best out there!

Pros: Hosting a sports talk show, we enjoy the various layouts and video-sharing, which allows us to show and analyze highlights and break-down sports plays.

Cons: It can be difficult some times to navigate from Comments, to Banners, to Brands to get the next asset prepared without losing a bit of focus on speaking. Would be nice to see an easier way to navigate between sidebar options

Overall: As host and producer for a two-person sports show, I am amazed at the level of professional features built into this platform. We are heavy in guest interactions and our viewers appreciate being a part of the conversation and seeing their questions or comments on screen. StreamYard is a home run for streamers.
