PraktiCalc is a simple calculator written in Python, compatible with Windows 7+ and Linux. MacOS support is also here now, in form of an unsigned .app bundle. There are not that many actually useful functions provided by PraktiCalc which don't exist in a modern calculator. But you have support and integration for Linux and Windows, especially for messagebox dialog tools like zenity, kdialog and xmessage on Linux and VBS MsgBoxes on Windows. All that together with number conversion and great DPI scaling, it can be great and it will be even better in the future. -

All programs are written only by Python so that you can easily see their algorithmic number theory. Our premise when starting this project was that why do we have to dig through arrays of normative values to find the group our patient belongs to. Then proceed to manually calculate its z score and find out where it is on the percentile graph, when we could have a software that could do it for us. We weren’t able to find one in the literature. Thus came the PsiNorm. Currently only a demo for english exists, while Turkish adapted version is fully functional. BitrateCompressionCalculator for Python (BCCpy) is a very simple application for calculating a file size from length and bitrate. BCCpy came about as the result of my beginning to learn Python and recreating the basic functionality of a simple VB program I wrote back in 1999. Since I was never very proficient with Visual Basic (or Applesoft BASIC for that matter); this application is very basic and could use lots of improvements. I'll implement them as I learn them. As of October 6, 2018; I have "abandoned" the project. I have actually forgotten everything I know about Python since writing this and other than adding error handlers; I really don't know how much further I could take it. I wanted to build a simple calculator, and I did. -
