The ADG library (Automatic Drawing Generation) is a set of functions focused on automating the drawing of mechanical parts. It is not a CAD system but a GObject-based library where a custom application can put common CAD entities such as paths, hatches and dimensions, to automatically create technical drawings. A demo application is provided in order to show the capabilities of the canvas. Although it is possible to interact with the library directly in C (that is what the adg-demo program is doing), the canvas is expected to be used from higher level languages, much in the same way as what done in the GNOME stack. Lua bindings based on LGI are already provided out of the box. The adg-lua project, downloadable from the "Files" section, provides Lua programs and demos that leverages these bindings.

Coordinate rotation is useful when making PCB with 2+ layers. Based on a reference points (which are included in PCB production files during DIY manufacture) it is possible to layout different PCB layers during drilling, UV exposing, gluing &final cut. Each time PCB was dismounted from a CNC and mounted again, it will have some angle of rotation over a zero point (X=0, Y=0). Manual measurement of this rotation angle is performed with help of laser module mounted on the same CNC. For each reference point, travel CNC with a laser module and fine tune X/Y coordinates to target at the center of a drilled point (laser light will dim out). Write each of the measured point's coordinate with corresponding ideal (original) point coordinate into the reference point (text) file. Then use this utility with source G-Code file & measured reference file to perform transformation into a destination G-Code file. Each X/Y coordinate in "G0", "G00", "G01" commands will be rotated by a calculated angle.

motion 5 is a specialised variant of GRBL which is focused on motion of up to five CNC axes and laser processing instead of milling. It supports ATMega MCUs running with up to 20 MHz and provides jitter-free pulses with a frequency of up to 38 kHz. Wherever usage and handling of motion5 is different to original GRBL, this is described in Wiki. For the G-code commands please note that motion5 supports more axes which are named "A" and "B". So a GRBL-command "G1X10.0Y20.0Z10.0" which moves its three axes would be e.g. "G1X10.0Y20.0Z10.0A20.0B30.0" in motion5 to move all five axes.
