AWS EC2 FPGA Development Kit is a set of development and runtime tools to develop, simulate, debug, compile and run hardware-accelerated applications on Amazon EC2 F1 instances. It is distributed between this GitHub repository and FPGA Developer AMI - Centos/AL2 provided by AWS with no cost of development tools. After creating an FPGA design (also called CL - Custom logic), developers can create an Amazon FPGA Image (AFI) and easily deploy it to an F1 instance. AFIs are reusable, shareable and can be deployed in a scalable and secure way. Development experience leverages an optimized compiler to allow easy new accelerator development or migration of existing C/C++/openCL, Verilog/VHDL to AWS FPGA instances. Fully custom hardware development experience provides hardware developers with the tools required for developing AFIs for AWS FPGA instances.

CRC Generator is a command-line application that generates Verilog or VHDL code for CRC of any data width between 1 and 1024 and polynomial width between 1 and 1024. The code is written in C for Win32, bus easily portable for other platforms

We provide MATLAB and Verilog Models of GeAr, and previously proposed adders (ACA-I, ETAII, ACA-II and GDA) at http://sourceforge.net/projects/approxadderlib/ GeAr is a low latency Generic Accuracy Configurable Adder that provides a higher number of potential configurations compared to state-of-the-art approximate adders, thus enabling a high degree of flexibility and trade-off between performance and output quality. These MATALB and Verilog models can allow software programmer as well as hardware designers to evaluate their code and design. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first open-source library of approximate adders that facilitates reproducible comparisons and further research and development in this direction across various layers of design abstraction. This work is a result of collaborative effort between Chair for Embedded Systems (CES) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany and Vision Image and Signal Processing (VISpro) Lab at SEECS-NUST, Pakistan.

A simple Embedded System Framework that allows rapid development of applications build for AVR family. System is based on a super-loop architecture with check and skip (no-wait) flag event driver system. Supports: UART, SysTick Timer, ADC, SPI, EEPROM, PWM. OpenSOC86 is an open implementation of the x86 architecture in Verilog. The current version only implements the 16-bit part (real mode). The processor is a pipelined architecture clocked at 100 MHz in a Cyclone II speed grade -6. Therefore it can be seen as similar to a 486 in real mode. Several peripherals are also implemented in a somewhat minimalistic way, but enough to be able to boot an IBM PCXT compatible bios and MSDOS 6.22. The current implementation is only proven to boot the bios and DOS in simulation. The system is targeted to run on the DE2-70 board. In order to run the system in hardware a SDRAM and SRAM controller need to be added. These are currently in development.

The Red Pitaya is a commercial, affordable FPGA board with fast analog inputs and outputs. This makes it useful for quantum optics experiments, in particular as a digital feedback controller for analog systems. Based on the open source software provided by the board manufacturer, PyRPL (Python RedPitaya Lockbox) implements many devices that are needed for optics experiments with the Red Pitaya. PyRPL implements various digital signal processing (DSP) modules (see features below). It allows to arbitrarily interconnect the available DSP modules and retrieve signal values on timescales below 1 ms. The graphical user interface (GUI) provides a realtime display of the various measurement instruments and allows the easy configuration of DSP signal chains and feedback controllers. At the highest abstraction level, arbitrary feedback sequences can be defined to fulfill tasks as complex as approaching and locking a resonance of a high-finesse Fabry-Perot cavity (tested up to finesse=100,000).

OpenWebServo is an Open Source Hardware and Software project. Its main goal is to develop a web-controlled servo system. The project includes web application, firmware and hardware design.

The Affordable BIOS Restoration Tool provides VHDL and C code to recover from failed BIOS upgrades using affordable CPLD's. EEPROM's and Flash chips can be restored with this flash programmer. Interfaces for DIP and tsop packages are being developed.

This is a simple CPU design, written in Verilog, intended for educational purposes. The objective is to provide a simulatable processor where the source code exposes concepts in CPU microarchitecture.

The FAZIA project groups together more than 10 institutions in Nuclear Physics, which are working in the domain of heavy-ion induced reactions around and below the Fermi energy (10-100AMeV). The aim of the project is to build a 4Pi array for charged particles, with high granularity and good energy resolution, with A and Z identification capability over the widest possible range. It will use the up-to-date techniques concerning detection, signal processing and data flow, with full digital electronics. Neutron detection is also foreseen via the collaboration with the NEUTROMANIA group. FAZIA is designed to operate at stable and radioactive beams facilities like LNL-Legnaro, LNS-Catania in Italy, GANIL-SPIRAL and SPIRAL2 in France, GSI-FAIR in Germany in the horizon 2010-2015. The availability of the european radioactive beam facility EURISOL expected in the period 2015-2020 will also be a major opportunity for the FAZIA community.

libhdlfltp is a VHDL library of floating point operators, all of which are parametrized, synthesizable to FPGAs and cover a number of the core operators in math.h.

FPGAmer is a framework to develop embedded games. Our development platform is the Xilinx University Program Virtex-II-Pro but not limited to that. FPGAmer includes custom hardware components plus a custom software framework and some sample games.
