Version 0.8 has a slightly more complete implementation (added DELE).

Most of the changes since 0.3 are refactoring in the source code, so I can use it to build FTP servers that provide a virtual directory, not necessarily based on real files.

Because some people may have problems with the .tar.gz file. You don't need both.

Last release for this year. Handles filename globbing for mget and mput. Added command-line option --allow-also.
Obsolete packages more clearly labelled as such.

OK, I'm not supporting the Java version any more.
The python one is available as source and a standalone windows executable.

The PC end has been released at last. Thanks to all who offered and provided help.
There's a compiled class file, a windows NT shortcut file (I have no idea if it will work on your machine) and minimal documentation.

HowTO file released for what to do at the UNIX end to transfer reports to the PC. Includes shell script examples and how to set up MFG/pro to treat
FTP transfer to user's PC as a printer.

The source is available as FTPserver.java.gz
The other stuff (.bat file for NT, shell scripts for HP-UX) that might help you use it should follow next week.
