I've released the latest GUI launcher for FlightGear Mac OS X 1.0.0. it's available from either http://macflightgear.sourceforge.net/home/downloads/
or
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=126825&package_id=138873
What I like the most in this release is that you can search all the airports and installed aircraft using GUI launcher. Aircraft search can let you find yasim aircraft only, or beta versions only by typing such keyword to the search box. You can also open Positions or Aircraft tab by clicking the gear buttons at the right end of airport/aircraft text field on the top pane of GUI launcher.... read more
I've released the FlightGear Mac OS X 1.0.0-r150. This release fixes the problem in installing additional aircraft/scenery data. It is recommended for all users to update 1.0.0 (r149) to 1.0.0-r150. You can check your revision number by clicking "About FlightGear Mac OS X" from the menu bar of the GUI launcher.
If you don't want to download entire FlightGear package, you can also get a single fixed file and copy it to FlightGear folder yourself. see detail instruction at:

We are very proud and excited to release FlightGear 1.0.0 for Mac OS X. This release of FlightGear gives more "comfortable" flight to every single Intel Mac user as well as PowerPC user. Now it runs on both Mac OS 10.4(Tiger) and 10.5 (Leopard). FlightGear 1.0.0 for Mac OS X comes with the fancy GUI launcher that eases your flight. You can change aircraft, airport, and options as you like. The launcher also makes it possible to fly with your wing mates. Enabling multi-player mode pops up a fancy on-line map so you can find your new wing mates. Thanks to the easy installer in the launcher, you can add new aircraft and scenery data in a few second - no need to find the data folder any more.... read more

There is now a mailing list available for those who would rather use that method of receiving news and communication over a web forum.
The purpose of this mailing list is to keep those subscribed updated on where FlightGear on Mac OS X is going, and to communicate about it. To subscribe visit http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/macflightgear-discuss
The Mac OS X package for FlightGear 0.9.9 has now been released and is available now right here.
It's been almost a year since the first MacFlightGear release and a lot has changed. The main OSX flight starter has been rewritten for added stability, the core libraries have been ported to universal binary, there's an option to download new scenery in the background, and the ability to define other advanced options.... read more
Recently a patch has been released which will update your current 0.9.8 installations. The small update fixes a bug and includes some new features.
It allows you to quit without problems, there's a new real world time option, and perhaps the biggest new thing is an option to run TerraSync in the background. TerraSync downloads scenery for you as needed as you fly so it is ready next time you launch FlightGear.
You can also now disable fullscreen mode.... read more
We have released FlightGear 0.9.8. For our Mac OS X package you can now choose your aircraft and airport using a nice and simple GUI.
The Help menu now works as well. Help opens in your web browser.
Two documents are now available. There is a guide for getting started quickly with FlightGear for Mac OS X and a tutorial for building FlightGear from source.
A list of resources has been added to the Mac FlightGear web site. There is a Help and Discussion forum, documents, RSS feeds, etc.
So enjoy!
FlightGear 0.9.8 Preview 2 has been released. This should be the final preview release.
FlightGear now opens up into full screen mode by default and there is no longer a beeping sound during startup.
There are some remaining issues with keyboard commands.
I have now updated the FlightGear 0.9.8-pre1 release to include OpenAL. By default it will now install OpenAL along with FlightGear.
If you already have OpenAL and do not wish to install it, you can choose to only install FlightGear.
So please download and test it out! A final 0.9.8 package will be out shortly after the official release.
You will need the OpenAL framework in order to run FlightGear. You can download an installer package from http://developer.creative.com/landing.asp?cat=1&sbcat=31&top=38
I will release an update soon that will include OpenAL with the FlightGear package.
The first package from the FlightGear Mac OS X project is now available. This package is built from FlightGear 0.9.8-pre1 and requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later.
It is an easy to install installer package. You can launch FlightGear with a simple double click. More advanced options are coming.
