Respin of Senpai based on MX-Linux 25.1 and ParrotOS 7.1 with Mate

This is a Respin based on my MX-Linux 25.1 AHS, installing ParrotOS 7.1 Home on top of it, using the script provided by the ParrotOS developers that installs the “core” of ParrotOS Home and the most up-to-date firmware and drivers supported by Debian Testing.

Only the Parrot OS tools for privacy and system security (parrot-meta-crypto and parrot-meta-privacy) have been installed, along with some other programs more geared towards privacy, which is the purpose of my Respin. These are detailed in my blog.

Both are based on “Debian trixie,” but since ParrotOS and its tools only support “Systemd,” I have used the MX-Linux version with that init...

The ethical hacking tools that come by default with ParrotOS Security are not installed, but anyone who needs them can install them from the ParrotOS repositories with the corresponding packages...

The ISO image is created with the magnificent MX-Snapshot tool, which is very versatile. It can be used directly from Ventoy, or you can install it on a USB with BalenaEcher, or better yet, from the MX-Linux utility MX Live-USB Creator, which you can download in AppImage format from here to run it on other distributions.

Also, from the MX-Linux MX RemasterCC tools, you can remaster and update on the USB itself or make it persistent to use directly from the USB, even install new kernels, change passwords, users, etc.

For this reason, I have changed the compression format of the ISO and created it in ZSTD format, which compresses a little less but is much faster for use as a persistent USB-LIVE... Of course, you can also install it on a physical PC or virtual machine.

IMPORTANT: I have made some changes to the ISO-Live by adding “LMK” (Live Multi Kernel) support. This version now has a dual kernel: the default stable Debian kernel signed “6.12,” which supports Live boot with “Secure Boot” enabled, and the kernel that comes with ParrotOS 7.1 “6.17,” which does not support booting with “Secure Boot.” From the ISO/Live-USB, you can choose which kernel to boot with by following the instructions on my blog. Once installed, it will boot with the default kernel, but from Grub you can choose which kernel to start or configure it with the MX-boot-options tool... And if you don't want to keep both kernels, with “mx-cleanup” you can remove the one you don't need...

The username and password are the standard MX-Linux ones, “demo / demo,” or root/root, but you can change them to whatever you want during installation.

Este es un Respin con la base de mi MX-Linux 25.1 AHS, instalando sobre ella ParrotOS 7.1 Home, mediante el script que proveen los desarrolladores de ParrotOS que instala el "core" de ParrotOS Home y los firmwares y drivers mas actualizados que soporta Debian Testing.

Solo se han instalado las herramientas de Parrot OS sobre privacidad y seguridad del sistema (parrot-meta-crypto y parrot-meta-privacy), y algunos programas mas orientados a la privacidad que es el propósito de mi Respin, están detalladas en mi Blog.

Las dos están basadas en “Debian trixie”, pero como ParrotOS y sus herramientas solo soportan “Systemd”, he utilizado la versión de MX-Linux con ese init...

No se instalan las herramientas de hacking ético que trae por defecto ParrotOS Security, pero quien las necesite las puede instalar desde los repositorios de ParrotOS con los paquetes correspondientes...

La imagen ISO está creada con las magnífica herramienta MX-Snapshot que es muy versatil, se puede usar directamente desde Ventoy o puedes instalarla en un USB con BalenaEcher o mejor desde la propia utilidad de MX-Linux MX Creador Live-USB que puedes descargar en formato AppImage desde aquí para ejecutarla en otras distribuciones.

También desde la herramientas de MX-Linux MX RemasterCC se puede remasterizar y actualizar en el propio USB o hacer que tenga persistencia para usarla directamente desde el USB, incluso instalar nuevos kerneles, cambiar contraseñas, usuarios, etc...

Por ese motivo he cambiado el formato de compresión de la ISO, y la he creado con el formato ZSTD que comprime un poco menos pero a cambio es muchísimo más rápido para poder utilizarlo como USB-LIVE con persistencia... Por supuesto también puedes instalarla en PC físico o máquina virtual.

IMPORTANTE: He hecho unos cambios en la ISO-Live añadiendo soporte "LMK" (Live Multi Kernel), esta versión ahora lleva doble kernel, el kernel por defecto de Debian estable y firmado "6.12", que soporta arranque en Live con "Secure Boot" activado, y el kernel que trae ParrotOS 7.1 "6.17" que no soporta arranque con "Secure Boot", desde la ISO/Live-USB se puede elegir el kernel con el que arrancar siguiendo las indicaciones en mi blog. Una vez instalado por defecto arrancará con el kernel mas algo, pero desde el Grub se puede elegir el kernel a iniciar o configurándolo con la herramienta MX-boot-options... Y si no queréis mantener los dos kerneles, con «mx-cleanup» podéis quitar el que no necesitéis...

El usuario y contraseña son las estándar de MX-Linux "demo / demo", o root/root, durante la instalación se puede cambiar al que se desee.
