Sentora is a free to download and use web hosting control panel developed for Linux, UNIX and BSD based servers or computers. The Sentora software can turn a domestic or commercial server into a fully fledged, easy to use and manage web hosting server. Our team work and provide the software as a 'hobby' project, we are not commercially backed nor do we do this for financial reward, we give up our spare time to develop, support and maintain the software. Sentora is designed to host and manage multiple clients on a single server, this is known as a 'shared' hosting environment. Each client can login and manage their web hosting via. our fully customisable control panel. Sentora enables the user to create and manage any number of services such as mailboxes and domains, we provide the tools to enable you to set quotas on both bandwidth and creation of services.

AlternC is a hosting control panel, a software suite which makes web and mail server management easier. AlternC depends on ACLs to manage user rights for the web folders. You need to ensure your filesystems didn’t disable ACL in the partition that will contain your user data. AlternC can also manage disk quotas for each user. As opposed to ACLs, quotas are not mandatory for AlternC to work. If they are not enabled or installed, AlternC will consider that each user has unlimited web space.
