I recommend that you install it from the official repositories. Example: https://community.linuxmint.com/software/view/gnome-subtitles and click Install You can check this link for installing apps on Linux Mint: https://www.reallinuxuser.com/how-to-install-applications-in-linux-mint/

Hi Ramona. How are you installing Gnome Subtitles? A recent version should be available in the Linux Mint software repository. You seem to be installing version 0.1, which would be 15 years old; version 1.6 should be available for you to install.

Hi, Do you want to change the font size in the video preview, or do you want to save a subtitle file with a specific font size for it to be played with that size with a video player? Cheers

HI Nicolás, In Ubuntu you should install the aspell-es package for spanish. Other aspell packages are also available for other languages. Best Pedro

Hi. Thanks for the suggestion. Currently there's no way to do this in Gnome Subtitles, but it does make sense to implement it in the future. I've added it to our bug list here: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=792766
